Government of India Export Facilitation (RELIEF) Scheme on 19 March 2026

In addition, DGFT has launched the Resilience & Logistics Intervention for Export Facilitation (RELIEF) Scheme on 19 March 2026 under the Export Promotion Mission, with ECGC as the implementing agency.– See detailed notice here:

What The RELIEF Scheme provides:

  • Up to 100% risk cover for existing ECGC-insured shipments
  • Up to 95% risk cover for upcoming exports without increase in premiums
  • Up to 50% reimbursement of additional freight and insurance costs for MSME exporters (capped at ₹50 lakh per IEC).

What is Purpose of this scheme:

This scheme is specifically designed to mitigate the impact of war-risk premiums, emergency surcharges and logistics disruptions, and to ensure that exporters are able to continue shipments without undue financial stress.

 

Exporters are strongly encouraged to:

  • – Explore ECGC coverage for upcoming shipments
  • – Avail benefits under the RELIEF Scheme, where eligible
  • – Reach out to DGFT Regional Authorities, Export Promotion Councils, or ECGC offices for assistance
